A protest Songwriting Workshop, 2018

In November 2018, I invited my old friend John Munson (of Fever Songs Fame) to join me along with an open call for collaborators to write and sing protest songs on the spot. We came up with three very catchy numbers in a matter of two hours at Chandra Cerrito Contemporary in Oakland, during the horrific Norther California fires. All songs were written collectively by John, me, Susanne Cockrell, Hugo Corro, Dan Nelson, Suki O’Kane, Angela Coon, and others. This program was in collaboration with di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art for Be Not Still: Living in Uncertain Times. Thanks so much to Chandra Cerrito Contemporary for hosting us!
